Ventricular Fibrillation:
·
Most common rhythmic
abnormality in sudden cardiac arrests.
·
When Automated External
Defibrillator is used on site, it quickly responds to defibrillation.
·
Survival rates are as high
as 74% if defibrillator is used within 3 minutes of collapse.
Pulseless Electrical Activity:
·
Term used for
Electrocardiograph when there is no cardiac contraction.
·
If it is caused by a
reversible condition as hypovolemia, it can be treated.
·
Mortality rate is high.
Asystole:
·
Absence of any cardiac
activity including both electrical and mechanical.
·
Only 0 to 2% people survive
from this.
