SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST RHTYHMS

·         Ventricular Fibrillation (VF)

·         Pulseless Electrical activity

·         Asystole

Ventricular Fibrillation:

·         Most common rhythmic abnormality in sudden cardiac arrests.

·         Survival rates are as high as 74% if defibrillator is used within 3 minutes of collapse.

Pulseless Electrical Activity:

·         Term used for Electrocardiograph when there is no cardiac contraction.

·         If it is caused by a reversible condition as hypovolemia, it can be treated.
